Is Jesus the only Son of God in the Bible??

When i once asked a Christian, what makes u think that Jesus was a God when he didn't even once claim divinity? He replied that because in the Bible, Jesus was described as 'Son of God'., by quoting the famous verse from John 3:16:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

So i asked him, if there is somebody else in the Bible described as a son of God, will u accept him as a god too? He replied, 'Impossible! There is certainly nobody else beside him.'

Check these out:

1) Adam - the son of God (Luke 3:23-37)

Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli, .............. the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

2) David - the son of God (Psalms 2:7)

I will proclaim the decree of the LORD :
He said to me, "You are my Son;
today I have become your Father
.

3) Solomon - the son of God (Psalms 2:7)

He is the one who will build a house for my Name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.

4) Israel - the sons of God (Exodus 4:22)

Then say to Pharaoh, 'This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son."

5) Righteous man - Sons of God (Psalms 82:6)

"I said, 'You are "gods";
you are all sons of the Most High.'

What does 'Son of God' mean in the Bible?

The term 'Son of God' is a common term in the biblical languange, meaning somebody who is close to God or a righteous man.. St Paul started to preach regarding Jesus using the same exact word, but later on giving it another meaning which totally changed the concept of God in Christianity..

If a Christian is ready to accept Jesus as God just because he is described in the bible as a son of God, so he must also accept other biblical prophets as Gods too..

Lets take a look at what Jesus said when he refused to be called 'good' (which leads to another question, how come he is willing to be called 'God'?) according to Luke 3:17-18:

As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone."
